Sean Penn Plays Politics
Sean Penn, the actor known for such rolls as Spiccoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High and most recently as a mentally handicapped man in I Am Sam, has put the President to task on the War on Terrorism with a sizeable add in the Washington Post. Penn asks that the President stops a cycle where "bombing is answered by bombing, mutilation by mutilation, killing by killing."
I can't let this one go. Here's another list for you that explains why Penn is a jackass:
- Sean Penn is a celebrity. He doesn't live in the "real world".
- His occupation involves playing make believe.
- His solution for stoping a cycle of violence is not one that he himself uses. Didn't he attack a cameraman that was bothering him?
- His view of world politics is entirely too simplistic, even for him.
- Where was he during the "legacy of shame and horror" of the Clinton administration? Doesn't it count when he aims and deploys missles at other countries? Because he did, Mr. Sean "I'm a one sided jerk" Penn!
I could go on but I'm too tired.
