Movie Review -- The Ring

So the girlfriend is out of town so I decided to hit the video store and rent some movies to occupy my time. I decided to rent "The Ring" because I had heard good things, which meant that I really hadn't heard bad things.

This review will be different than most in that I won't give away any of the plot. And that's not because I have some incredible insight about the movie. It's because I hardly know what the hell was going on. It was wacky. Actually, I thought the beginning of the movie was crap, the middle was average and the end was freaky. As a matter of fact, I hardly found the movie scary but I ended up not being able to get to sleep until 1:30am because of some of the frightening imagery. You'll see what I mean. Definitely worth renting.

A bit of trivia: The director, Gore Verbinski, was formerly a director of commercials and he created the "Budwieser Frogs". Now THAT'S scary!
