Question of the Week!

Arnold prepares to dead lift a husky Chinese boy.
I've noticed that this website has a pretty steady stream of passive readers but not enough people that step up to the plate and comment, so I've decided to institute a "question of the week" where I'll pose a question and then after some responses I'll give you my answer.
Here's the first question: During what movies is it ok for guys to cry? And, no, you can't say "Terminator 2" when Ahhnold gives the "thumbs up" as he's dropped into the lava. Ready....GO!

That's a tough one. I actually have three.
First, when Conan's girlfriend Valeria dies in Conan the Barbarian. One really feels the sense of Conan's loss at what was one of the greatest love stories of our time.
Second, in Predator, when Blain, played by former wrestler and governor Jesse Ventura, is killed by the predator, and Sgt. 'Mac' Eliot is reminiscing to himself about his lost friend, and Dutch, played by Arnold, says "Mac, he was a good soldier." One really feels the sense of Mac's loss at what was one of the greatest love stories of our time.
Thrid, I cried during Batman and Robin, in which Arnold plays Mr. Freeze, because it was such a very bad movie.

Maybe I wasn't clear... you don't HAVE to pick a Schwarzenegger movie!
Got to say Forrst Gump. Zemeckis pulls at the heartstrings more than a few times to get the tears going. Also remember seeing a lot of misty eyes at the end of Titanic when Rose meets up with Jack again. Yes, I'm the sucky baby who can fess up...

I'm going to use my insider knowledge to reassure men it's okay to cry during the following movies:
--When Spock dies at the end of Wrath of Khan
--When Han goes into the lava pit at the end of Empire Strikes Back, leaving the way clear for Luke to get it on with Leia. (collective Homer Simpson shudder)
--During any movie based on a novel by Jane Austen, though it's understood that in this case these will be tears of frustration and pain, not sadness.

I've cried over many an Austen adaptation... for exactly the reasons you've mentioned.
